Tracking - done!!

Just a quick post before I head off to bed. I just finished tracking my meals for the day, 3 points left over so happy with that. Friend made delicious tea out of one of the Symply too good cookbooks that I leant her - the Chicken and cashew stir fry, and we had it with rice. Soooo yum!!

Find out my results from the doctor tomorrow from my blood tests I had when sick last week. Wondering what the results were, as the tests were in on Wednesday but doc wants to discuss them. Hope it's nothing bad!

Right, bed time for me!!

My butterfly tattoo

This is a photo of my tattoo that I had done in November of 2008. I had always wanted a butterfly tattoo. I always thought I'd get one when I got to goal - to symbolise me beginning as a caterpillar and emerging as this beautiful butterfly - not only in appearance but my attitude to life, my self esteem and everything else that goes along. But there was an opportunity to get one done in November so I went for it - and it is something to symbolise what I am striving for. My goal that I am going to achieve, and when I have, I will get another one to celebrate :-) Butterflies are becoming a bit of an obsession for me, I just love them, so you may see them feature highly in my blog - hence the blog name!

Day one - down and dusted!

I found a more recent photo! This one taken on the day of my friends wedding in November - I did a reading for the ceremony. It took me ages to find a top that I liked - and when I look at the photos I still don't know if I was happy with it! But I was comfortable :P
Today my goal was to sort out some new recipes to try, and to do some exercise. I can tick both boxes - we are trying the chicken schnitzel things in the fast start book this week. I want to try and find one new recipe each week to try. And as for exercise, I did 20min at the gym this morning after my appraisal, and then went for a 20min walk this afternoon - took the long way around to our friends house where my partner was helping put the 4wd back together. I feel good! Tomorrows goal - track using the online WW tracker.
My aim this week is to make my ticker go down some more!!!!

My partner Ricky and I at Little Beach in Albany, January 2008 (I have lost 10kg since then but it seems to be the only full length photo of me!)

My first entry, and first day towards my new lifestyle!

I have had blogs before, many of them still out there somewhere but obviously no longer in use. This time I decided that I needed to do this for me - not to see how many people would follow my journey, or how many comments I would get - but for me, to honestly record my weight loss journey - all the ups, and most importantly the downs so that I can learn what holds me back and what helps me to succeed.

I still hope to find some people to follow me along and offer guidance and support, so if you do drop by please leave me a message, and especially if you have your own blog so that I can read your journey.

Here's to the beginning of a new healthy, happy life!
